Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Professionally, I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Park Management with an option in Therapeutic Recreation (TR) and minor in Gerontology from the Pennsylvania State University.
I have been working with older adults both in community and health care settings since 1997. Through my experience as a therapeutic recreation specialist combined with my undergraduate thesis research on family caregivers of people with dementia, I have identified a critical need in our community to help “take care of caregivers” through leisure and recreation. space & time was founded in 2008 to offer services designed to improve the well-being of caregivers.

My passion is to help family caregivers increase their overall well-being and attain an optimal leisure lifestyle that will support and nurture them as they continue on their caregiving journeys. 
I also hold the title of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
space & time is the only service dedicated to specifically help take care of caregivers through leisure education and other therapeutic recreation services that empower caregivers.
